My plan: to study the game/frame narrative and its interruptions, pausing on the Cook, the Pardoner, and the Knight.
Any thoughts? Post them here.

The Miller vs. the Reeve. Quiteing, whatnot.
Why the Knight? Much length, relatively little payoff for it....
The Knight's Tale has a few things going for it in this context:
1. The competition between Palamon and Arcite is sort of central. Further, they're set up as pawns of Venus in Mars in a somewhat more cosmic game, which seems relevant.
2. Having the Knight's Tale as a jumping off point for the rest of the tales gives, I think, a better sense of the tale-telling competition as a whole. Everyone knows they're not playing to win after he goes, and he goes first.
But yes, quite long.
